Looking for a fic set post disaster. Danny went missing and Steve is heartbroken. Includes Danny as a fighter for the Others and a dog named Snow.

overly macho Steve/defensive Danny fic

The main theme is about Denny being stressed because he needs to be tough all the time because Steve mocks him whenever he's hurt.

Something happens... Danny maybe gets shallowly knifed? And he's talking to the EMTs, who are a man and a woman OCs, (possibly married) as they look him over and patch him up. They think he should go to the hospital but he doesn't want to because of Steve's attitude. Steve may or may not have been hurt too. Steve gets a call from the Governor and rips off in Danny's car. I think Danny ends up hitching a ride in a squad car, as Kono and Chin leave too.

Danny does go later on to the hospital but checks himself out before... he gets all the blood or antibiotics he needs? At some point, Steve and the others learn Danny has been to the hospital. I think then Danny collapses? And Steve learns that Danny was more hurt than he revealed, and didn't let himself be properly taken care of, and feels bad for being such a jerk.
