Slow Build; Transsexual

Looking for two different types of stories here.

1. Any stories where they start off as friends and by the end are together. I'd love to read the slow build of the relationship. There doesn't even have to be sex in it, just so long as it seems to be heading in that direction by the end. No I'm only gay for you, or suddenly gay stories. I would love a 'friends to more' featuring Danny and Kono

2. Any stories where one of the characters struggles with their gender identity. I'd love to see the struggling character transitioning MTF or FTM either way.

I'm cool with any pairing (except Danny/Rachel).

I have a story for #2 that's been in progress (not posted) for a long time. But I hadn't thought about it in a while so thank you for the reminder. Maybe I'll actually finish it one day! ;)

I saw an interesting program on TV last night about people who were in the process of (I don't know the correct terminology) switching(?) and it got me thinking about how the rest of the characters would react to one of them going through it.

So I'm totally on board whenever you get it done and posted.

FYI: the process of changing from one sex to the other is called transitioning. You would say that a person is transitioning or going through transition.
